Donuts (Creme Brulee)

INGREDIENTS
Donuts:

  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp yeast
  • 3 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 60g unsalted butter
  • filling of choice

Caramel:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water

DIRECTIONS

Mix the milk and yeast and set aside for 5 minutes
Add all the ingredients with the milk to a bowl and knead until smooth (8-10 minutes)
Cover and keep the dough in a warm place for 1 hour
Roll out the dough and cut out the donuts
Leave them to rise for 1 hour
Fry them until golden brown
Fill with filling of choice
Add the caramel ingredients to a saucepan and do not stir
Place it on med-high heat and swirl occasionally until it reaches an amber color
Carefully dip one side of each donut in the caramel and let harden
