Miso Glazed Salmon

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 salmon filets (about 4 oz each)
  • 1/2 cup mirin (Japanese rice wine)
  • 1/4 cup white miso paste
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbps soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil

DIRECTIONS

Mix together mirin, miso, sugar, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger. Stir in the sesame oil.
Put the salmon in a covered dish or freezer bag.
Add the marinade to the salmon, turning to coat both sides.
Marinate in the refridgerator for at least three hours or overnight.
Preheat a broiler or grill.
Broil or grill the filets for 3-4 minutes, depending on thickness. Turn once.
